Academic Support
Academic Skills Advisers provide specialist literacy, numeracy, dyslexia and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) support. The College can also offer support in the area of visual stress.
The Academic Support Team was awarded the Basic Skills Agency Quality Mark for cross-college provision in 2002.
Additional Tutorial Support
For students from non-traditional entry routes, e.g. interrupted schooling, or who have particular special needs, we can offer additional support to help students achieve their full potential.
Dyslexia Tuition
Specialist sessions are available to assist dyslexic learners with the development of helpful strategies.
Students with Disabilities
The College provides a supportive environment for students with disabilities. Our new campus is easily accessible for wheelchair users. We have specialist equipment that enables us to arrange adaptation of learning materials.
If you have a disability, or special needs and feel you may need help with your course, support and assistance is available.

Learning Support
Learning Support staff can support students who have physical or learning difficulties and help them to gain equal access to all aspects of the curriculum.
Communicator Support
Our Communicator staffs main role is to support hearing impaired and visually impaired students to ensure they are able to participate fully in all aspects of their learning programme.
Personal Care
We work closely with our partner agency SPDNS to ensure students with complex needs have access to quality personal care provision.
Careers Service
Our Careers Service aims to give you the necessary skills to enhance your chances of employability in today's competitive market. Our Careers Officer can provide you with one-to-one guidance interviews, a drop-in service and careers-based workshops.
JobShop
The College JobShop can help you find part-time work both locally and nationally. Vacancies are advertised on the campus noticeboards and on the College's intranet.
Student Council
The Student Council, made up of Course Representatives and an elected College Council, it provides a way for students to have their say in shaping every aspect of the College. The Student Council is also active in providing a variety of social activities for students about the College.
